THROWBACK THURSDAY: Junior Senior – Move Your Feet

This one is a throwback all the way from 2003! This song came out when I was 11 years old and I distinctly remember purchasing their album, D-D-Don’t Don’t Stop the Beat, and making up dance routines with my younger sister in our living room.

“Move Your Feet” comes from a Danish band, Junior Senior. The song is best known for its über cute music video that features pixel-art hot dogs, squirrels, happy toast, robots, and of course, the band members – Jesper “Junior” Mortensen, and Jeppe “Senior” Laursen.

Though this nu-disco band has since disbanded, “Move Your Feet” topped the UK, Danish, French and Australian charts, and remains a favourite feel-good dance anthem.

THE BREAKDOWN:

Hometown: Thisted, Jutland, Denmark.
Last album: Hey Hey My My Yo Yo, first released in Japan and Scandinavia in 2005, and later released in Australia and the US in 2007.
Sounds like: The Go! Team and Hey Willpower.
Say what? The low-resolution pixel art music video was created by the art collective, Shynola, through a 1985 bitmap graphics editor known as Deluxe Paint.
